The Kapuso Network is set to air two new exciting shows in June, one is a feel-good series, while the other is a murder mystery.

It has been observed that GMA Network has been producing well-applauded and recognized programs in recent years. It has even continued to discover the perfect recipe to win the hearts of more viewers.

On June 12, the Filipino audience is yet to witness another “kilig” teleserye courtesy of Sparkle sweethearts Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara. While this is not the first time for the young stars to work together, they still consider the upcoming series, “LUV IS: Love at First Read” different.

Speaking with the Davao entertainment press on Saturday, May 20, at 153 Kusina Leticia, the 22-year-old son of Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi revealed that he feels much pressure now since he and Kyline topbill the show.

“First lead show ko ‘to together with Kyline,” he said, adding that being at the helm of “LUV IS: Love at First Read” makes him realize that he must give more, especially when it comes to his performance and the commitment he gives to each scene.

Meanwhile, Kyline gave a glimpse of what to expect from their afternoon series.

“Abby ang name ng character ko sa diary. He (Mavy as Kudos) doesn’t know na ang girl na kinaiinisan n’ya sa school na si Angelica ay ang may-ari ng diary,” the 18-year-old singer-actress said.

Mavy is in love with the “perfect girl” in the diary while hates the one he frequently encounters in school, without him knowing that he’s dealing with the same person.

On June 19, the action-packed family drama “Royal Blood” will premier with real-life couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young joining Dingdong Dantes in the cast.

The husband-and-wife tandem shared with the Davao press that amid their excitement to do a new project together, certain adjustments have to be made. It can be recalled that the last show they did together was “The Stepdaughters” in 2018.

“We’re pretty kenkoy. We’re both fun,” the Miss World 2013 said. However, in the “Royal Blood,” their characters are “the complete opposite.”

“Scary ang vibes ni Mikael sa show kaya after taping, I tell him na magpagpag,” she said laughing. “Iba ang contrast ng characters namin” compared to who they really are behind the camera.

In the meantime, Mikael shared that in the teleserye, everyone is seen as a suspect in the death of Napoy’s (Dingdong) father; thus, the eerie vibe of each character. Despite this, the actor remains ecstatic every taping day because he is with his wife the whole time. Likewise, it is a chance for him to reconnect with the Kapuso Primetime King whom he last worked with 10 years ago.

The Kapuso stars were here last Saturday for their respective mall shows. Mavy and Kyline proceeded to Gaisano Mall of Toril (Davao City), while Mikael and Megan were at Gaisano Mall of Tagum (Davao del Norte).
