HOG deaths due to hog cholera and other diseases in Negros Occidental already reached to 5,509, which is worth P66,541,575, the Provincial Veterinary Office reported as of May 24.
New deaths on May 24 hit 264.
A total of 14 localities in the province have been affected by animal deaths that have affected 103 barangays, and 1,143 raisers.
All the localities in the sixth district have not reported any mortality.
The most affected areas are in the Fourth District where damage is pegged at P60,750,250.*
