THE Philippine Statistics Office - Davao Region said they had distributed 96 percent of the already printed National IDs for Davao Region.

“In Davao Region, percentage (of IDs) delivered by Post Office is 96 percent na,” PSA-Davao supervising statistical specialist Maria Leah Magracia said during PSA’s Data Cafe for Media Practitioners last May 22 at PSA-Davao Office.

Magracia reported that 96% of the two million national IDs made from plastic, which PSA-Davao received and processed at the Main Post Office in Manila, have already been distributed in Davao Region.

“We have a target of around 4,800,000 [for Davao Region] so meron pa tayong kalahati (we have half) of the registered or hindi pa siya nakareceive ng kanilang mga (have not received yet of their) plastic IDs,” Magracia said.

Meanwhile, PSA-Davao chief administrative officer Imelda Agustin emphasized that those who received a text message from them with a link routing to their ePhilID, they can already use it as a valid National ID.

“‘Yung mga pwedeng i-download sa cellphone or pwedeng mag pa-print sa mga registration centers (Those documents that can be downloaded on a cellphone or printed at registration centers)... it has the same functionality,” Agustin said.

“Again, it’s not a temporary ID,” she added.

Meanwhile, for those who want to track the status of their physical National ID, PSA-Davao information system analyst Louie John Aro said one must type in their 29-digit transaction number which was given during their registration through https://tracking.phlpost.gov.ph/

“Naa na siya’y duha ka possible ‘ron na outcome, katong makita na ang address that’s the time nga naa na sa PhilPost, then naa pud siya’y ginatawag nga naa sa not found (There are two possible outcomes for the current situation. The first one is if the address has been found and the ID is already with PhilPost, while the second outcome is when it still shows as not found),” Aro said.

However, Aro said that “not found status” does not mean that the ID has been lost.

“Possible ana, anaa pa na siya sa PSA or sa katong partner agencies (This status simply means that it hasn't been forwarded yet for encoding. It's possible that it's still with PSA or our partner agencies),” Aro said. ICE
