A CAGAYAN de Oro City Government scholar ranked sixth in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in the secondary level.
Hazel Cabungcal Cabutad garnered 91.80 percent rating. She shared the sixth spot with two other passers.
Cabutad is an Iskolar sa Dakbayan Batch 2018 graduate from Xavier University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education-Major in Science.
On May 24, 2023, Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy met with Cabutad and her mother during the city's "People's Day" and congratulated her for her efforts and dedication.
The mayor hoped that Cabutad's success in her schooling will serve as an inspiration to city scholars.
Meanwhile, taking the 10th spot in the secondary level of the board exam were Nelkhin Vios Gongob of Cagayan de Oro College and Queennie Love Sarcos Pacto of Xavier University, with 91 percent rating.
For the elementary level, Gee Marriel Lozano Gaputan of Xavier University placed third in the board exam with 91.80 percent rating, while Judilyn Abang Lumajang of Liceo de Cagayan University placed sixth, with 91.20 percent rating.
