IN RESPONSE to the imminent threat posed by Super Typhoon Mawar (Local name Betty) approaching the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the Watsons “Race for Wellness: The Beauty Adventure,” scheduled for May 27, 2023, in Cebu City, has been postponed.
This decision is made in the best interest of the participant's safety and is aligned with the recommendations provided by the Cebu Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), Cebu City LGU, and the Philippine National Police as all outdoor events in Cebu are canceled.
At Watsons, the safety and security of the participants and the community is its utmost priority.
This adjustment ensures that all necessary precautions are taken to safeguard the well-being of the participants, staff, and the public amidst the inclement weather conditions that may arise from the approaching typhoon.
