CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) has finalized measures to minimize the possible effects of super typhoon “Mawar” in Pampanga.
As early as May 24, PDRRMC Operations Center and Command and Control Center (C3) has already been activated.
Disaster response equipment and manpower of the province and government agencies are on stand-by.
Regular meetings with city and municipal DRMMCs are being conducted to assess the risk in their respective areas as “Mawar” moves closer to the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
On the 11 a.m. bulletin of Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical,and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Friday, “Mawar” is expected to enter PAR on Friday evening until Saturday morning.
It is forecasted to enhance the southwest monsoon which may bring rains over western portion of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas beginning on Sunday or Monday.
