SOBRA ang kabalaka sa Coalition Against Privatization of Electric Cooperatives (Capecs) sa giingong "harassment" nga nasinati karong bag-o sa mga sakop niini.
Nagsugod ang insidente sa giingong "harassment" usa ka adlaw human ang mga miyembro sa Coalition naghiusa sa pag-subscribe sa ilang affidavit of complaint sa Office of City Prosecutor sa Tagum City, Davao del Norte niadtong Abril 28, 2023.
Niadtong Mayo 2, 2023, ang mga Capecs nisang-at og reklamo batok kang Davao del Norte Governor Edwin I. "Republic Act No. 3019 otherwise known as the Anti – Graft and Corrupt Practices Act prohibits among others the public officials to give any private party any unwanted benefits in the discharge of his official administrative functions. On the other hand, Republic Act No. 10121 or known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Management Act of 2010 mandates the public officials to reserve the government issued vehicles ready for the disaster risk reduction and management," saysay sa press release sa Capecs.

Nanawagan ang maong electric cooperative nga i-respeto ang desisyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. nga ipabilin ang prangkisa sa Nordeco Inc. sa pipila ka lungsod sa probinsiya sa Davao del Norte ug sa Davao de Oro.
Sa miaging tuig, gi-veto ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang Republic Act 10554, diin sa usa ka giduso nga balaudnon migula alang sa pagpalapad sa prangkisa sa Davao Light sa Davao del Norte ug Davao de Oro hulip sa kasamtangang ga-suplay og elektrisidad nga Nordeco.
Ang CAPECs wala maghatag og dugang detalye sa reklamo samtang ang kaso nagpadayon sa Office of the Ombudsman ug sa Office of the President.
Kagahapon, Biyernes, Mayo 26, 2023, mipagula og pamahayag si Gob. Jubahib labot sa kaso nga gipasaka ngadto kaniya sa Capecs nga nagkondena sa mga termino nga giingong walay basehanan ug walay basehanan nga kaso nga gipasaka ngadto kaniya sa Capecs.
"I condemn in the strongest terms the unfounded and baseless case filed by Capecs against me, which clearly reeks of political harassment and persecution. This desperate attempt to silence my voice and undermine the will of the people of Davao del Norte is a blatant disregard for justice and an insult to the principles of democracy," sa opisyal nga pamahayag ni Gob. Jubahib.
Nagpaklaro sab ang gobernador nga, "Let me be clear: this case is nothing more than a politically motivated attack on my integrity and an attempt to divert attention from the real issue at hand—the urgent need for a new power provider that can deliver on the promises of affordable, reliable, and sustainable electricity for our province. CAPECs and its cohorts are shamelessly attempting to drown out the voice of the people, denying them their fundamental right to choose their future".
Gipasalig sab sa gobernador ngadto sa mga taga Davao del Norte nga dili siya mapugngan niining walay sukaranan nga mga pasangil.
