THE family and friends of the slain Architect Vlanche Marie Bragas were emotional as her body was laid to rest at the Calinan Memorial Park on Friday, May 26, 2023.
The Sacred Heart Parish Calinan, where the Holy Mass was commemorated, was attended by those who wish to pay their respect to the victim.
The Mass was presided by Father Bong Dublan, who is a relative of the victim, where he also called for God to touch the people who will be the way to identify the suspect.
Bragas was killed by an unknown suspect and her dead body was found in an open canal in Barangay Dacudao, Calinan, Davao City on May 17.
The Bragas family continues to seek justice in the identification and arrest of the suspect.
In a recent report, the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Bragas of the Police Regional Office-Davao has identified five persons of interest (POIs) behind the architect's death.
This was disclosed by PRO-Davao spokesperson Atty. Lt.Col. Eudisan Gultiano said during the previous AFP-PNP Press Conference that there are possible suspects that the police are tracking, but they are yet to identify them to the public because their meticulous investigation regarding the crime continues.
The official added that they are also looking into the incident as it is possible that the driver of the bao-bao may have associates who also helped to commit the incident, but this cannot be confirmed since they have not been contacted yet.
Based on the results of the autopsy, the victim was positively abused and killed by strangulation. JPC
