Ang Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) niadtong Biyernes, Mayo 26, 2023, nipasalig sa kapin sa 10,000 ka displaced overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) nga ang ilang back wages gikan sa ilang panahon sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) mabayran sa usa ka “butang sa panahon.”
Sa usa ka online media briefing gikan sa Saudi Arabia, si DMW Secretary Susan Ople miingon nga sila masaligon nga ang dugay nang gipaabot nga bayad sa displaced OFWs moabot sa dili madugay human makadawat og positibong updates gikan sa Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD).
“This is just a matter of time as they only want to make sure that only the right people will be get paid,” matod ni Ople.
“This is a firm commitment on the part of the Saudi government by virtue of the order of the Crown Prince himself,” dugang niya.

“This committee that meets every week reports directly to the Office of the Crown Prince. It includes the MHRSD along with the Ministries of Finance and Justice,” saysay ni Ople.
“Before, we don’t know who we should talk to. Now, we have a direct line regarding any issues on this subject,” matod ni Olalia.
