NEDA, DA hosts meeting on investment program

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) for Central Luzon (DA Regional Field Office or RFO3 in collaboration with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) conducted an orientation for the Regional Development Investment Program (RDIP) 2023-2028 Formulation the other day.

Dr. Eduardo Lapuz Jr., Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Operations and Extension, highlighted the importance of the activity.

"This is important, because these are the lists of our programs and projects that will be prioritized within the next six years. In general, what we give priority to is the post-harvest assistance that our agriculture sector needs, such as processing center, cold storage when it comes to onion, rice processing center," Lapuz said.

The RDIP is a document related to the Regional Development Plan (RDP). It refers to the list of priority programs and projects of an agency with attractive funding.

Based on Executive Order 325, the role of the RDP is to collaborate in the formulation, monitoring and evaluation of regional long-term, medium-term and annual socio-economic plans and programs anchored in the development of the country.

Economic Development Specialist Chief Marissa Aquino discussed the Planning Process Cycle, Regional Development Investment Program and draft Regional Development Plan 2023-2028.
