39IB garners 93.67% rating in annual general inspection

THE Army’s 39th Infantry Battalion (IB) has received a Certificate of Recognition as the command obtained a superior rating garnering an average of 93.67 percent during the conduct of the Philippine Army Annual General Inspection from May 16 to 30, 2023.

Major General Rommel Tello, Philippine Army inspector general, awarded the Certificate of Recognition to Lieutenant Colonel Ezra Balagtey, 39IB commander during the General Inspection Exit Briefing held at Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr., that houses the headquarters of the 10th Infantry Division in Mawab, Davao De Oro.

The Annual General Inspection is being conducted to all units of the Philippine Army to check the overall readiness, mission accomplishments, soundness of administrative systems, process and functionality.

Balagtey in his congratulatory message to his troops, said he considers the award as an indicator of the culture of excellence that the unit is institutionalizing

“This accomplishment is an indicator that excellence is becoming a natural standard of the Battalion in the performance of its mission, administrative systems and processes” Balagtey said.

The 39IB has been consistently receiving the recognition from Army’s inspector general for three consecutive years since 2021. (PR)
