Sultan Kudarat ex-governor named as Tesda director

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed former Sultan Kudarat governor Suharto Mangudadatu as director general of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

Mangudadatu is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the South Western University in Cebu.

He was conferred with an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree from Sultan Kudarat State University in recognition of his outstanding achievements in his field and his exemplary service to his fellowmen.

Mangudadatu served as mayor of the Municipality of Lutayan from July 1998 to 2004. He was elected as Sultan Kudarat representative from 2004 to 2007 and 2016 to 2019.

He was elected as the provincial governor in 2007 and served in the office until 2016, implementing various initiatives and programs aimed at the development and progress of the province.

He was reelected in the same position in 2019.

The Malacañang noted Mangudadatu’s active efforts to represent his constituents at the national level, advocating for their interests and working toward their betterment.

Tesda provides technical education and skills training to provide more job opportunities to the Filipino people. (SunStar Philippines)
