THE Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) in Northern Mindanao took part in the nationwide-simultaneous Philhealth Summit and Konsulta Membership Registration 2023 last Saturday, June 3, 2023.
Held at the Limketkai Mall's rotunda, the activity, which is one of the biggest events of Philhealth for this year, highlighted the benefits of the Konsulta Package as well as encourage the public to take care of their health as part of their vision "Bawat Pilipino, Miyembro; Bawat Miyembro, Protektado; Kalusugan ng lahat sigurado."
The PhilHealth Konsulta Package is a primary healthcare provider under the Universal Healthcare (UHC) Act, which aims to give comprehensive and quality outpatient medical services. It offers preventive care, including consultations, health risk screening and assessment, 13 laboratory tests, and 21 maintenance drugs and medicines.
The package focuses more on prevention through consultation, which members can avail themselves of through any accredited Konsulta providers.
"If you are a member under the Konsulta provider, you could already avail the 13 laboratory services nga ilang ihatag and they could also avail the benefits nga gi-provide sa atong Konsulta providers," Philhealth-Northern Mindanao Public Affairs Office Head Merlyn Ybañez said.
During last Saturday's event, Philhealth collaborated with the City Health Insurance Office in the registration of the participants, which comprised around 150 employees and 100 employers.
Through Philhealth Summit and Konsulta Membership Registration, the agency aims to encourage more private healthcare providers to join and be accredited as Konsulta providers to their members.
Ybañez said as of March 2023, Northern Mindanao has 95 accredited Konsulta providers.
