When you hear frightening messages from Heaven via credible Catholic mystics and then, in the same messages, are told not to fear, the reaction could be in the confused expression “Ano ba yan? (How’s that?).
But the incongruity seems resolved in many of such messages themselves: that is, that all earthlings were made for eternity, and any degree of misery on earth is worth the merit for everlasting life.
Consider the following messages.
To Anne the lay apostle, Our Lord Jesus said n May 3, 2004:
"My children experience many fears with regard to their worldly existence and their physical safety. Children, at this time I would like to remind you that your body is only the temporary dwelling place of your soul. Your soul is the eternal part of you.
"You will not need your body for very long in comparison to how long you will exist without it. Concentrate and prepare your soul. If you were preparing to travel to a foreign land, you would prepare in many ways. You would learn some of the language, assuming that upon your arrival and after having spent time there you would perfect your grasp of that manner of speech. You would have some arrangements made for the currency used in that land if it were different from what was used in your land. You would familiarize yourself with the habits and culture of the people who lived in that land so that it would not seem strange to you and you would know at least something of what to expect.”
In 1943, Our Lord Jesus also told Maria Valtorta whose writings St. Padre Pio strongly endorsed:
“Souls, separated from their bodies, have three abodes. And they will have these until after the Judgment — which will not err — when there will remain but two. The blessed rejoice immediately in Eternal rest. The repentant actively complete their expiation, thinking of the hour of their liberation in God. The damned are driven to rage by the good they lost — indeed, the more impious they have been, so much the less do they find rest in their terrible torture."
St. Joseph’s message to mystic Lorena onApril 22, 2022 also stressed the primacy of the soul over the earthly body, with a warning that many are to face their eternity not far into the future. He said:
“Dear Faithful Remnant, I Saint Joseph as Patron of the Family of Nazareth and Guardian and Custodian of all the families of the World, I want to prepare you for something inevitable and for which many of you will live in your own flesh or close to you with your relatives, the death of your bodies, but not that of your souls, if you carry out what is requested by Heaven.
“The consecrations to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus are crucial, focus on them, these consecrations protect you from falling into the second death, which is the death of the soul condemned to hell. For this reason it is very important that you consecrate as soon as possible; remember that many will be called to the presence of the Father very soon and must be prepared to leave for the eternal homeland.”
So significant was also the message of the Blessed Mother to Medjugorje visionary Ivanka to whom she said:
“You go to Heaven in full conscience: that which you have now. At the moment of death, you are conscious of the separation of the body and soul. It is false to teach people that you are reborn many times and that you pass to different bodies. One is born only once. The body, drawn from the earth, decomposes after death; it never comes back to life again. Man receives a transfigured body.”
As inspiring was how another Medjugorje visionary, Marija, related what the Blessed Mother had told her: “And through the message that she (Blessed Mother) gave us she said that our lives must be like a flower, and that we are here just in a passing way. Only eternal life does not pass. For that reason she urges us, and she asks us to think more of the spiritual life and of paradise. She said our life will be very different; our attitude toward life will be very different, when we think of the life after this one. And she said we shall really, truly understand that this life is only passing like a flower, and that here we are in this world in a passing path.”
Now, for the latest message conveyed through third-degree Augustinian, stigmatist Luz de Maria de Bonilla. On June 2, 2023, St. Michael the Archangel told her:
“Beloved children of the Most Holy Trinity: By Divine Will I come to you and I invite you to be one ith God’s will. It is solely in God alone that you will find true life.
“Be meek, charitable, live without losing hope and be self-effacing so that your brothers and sisters may shine.
“Bear witness to fraternity, knowing that those who forgive are forgiven, that those who love their brothers and sisters are loved by the Most Holy Trinity and by Our Queen and Mother of the End Times.
“Be more spiritual: in this way you will bring the Divine Light to those who live in darkness and to those who are lost on paths lined with sacrileges against Our King and Lord Jesus Christ and against Our Queen and Mother.
“Every act contrary to Divine Love is directed by the hordes of Satan.
“This generation has risen up against Our King and Lord Jesus Christ, against Our Queen and Mother and against all that is order, morality, respect for the gift of life, faithfulness, fraternity, and against the innocence of children.
“The children of the Most Holy Trinity must take reparation for the offenses of this generation.
“You are entering into the final moments prior to the Warning and disasters are happening everywhere without stopping. Many countries are suffering because of nature, because of the evil acts and evil works of human beings against their fellow men.
“Pray, children of the Most Holy Trinity, pray: disease will appear like a shadow spreading over the Earth.
“Pray, children of the Most Holy Trinity, pray: remain prepared - the earth will be forcefully shaken.
“Pray, children of the Most Holy Trinity, pray given so much suffering that is coming for humanity in order to weaken you in preparation for the presentation of the Antichrist.
“Give to God that is God’s: honor and glory.
“Be grateful and do not forget the medicines given by the Father’s House for fighting unknown diseases. (Note: Already tackled in a previous column.- Ding)
“In this final stretch, beloved children of the Most Holy Trinity, you will find brothers and sisters on the side of the road waiting for a friendly hand to lift them out of the mire. Be that hand, filled with love for God and neighbor; help those who are disadvantaged.
“You must understand that charity is the weapon of God’s children at this time. Nothing is your property... whatever is given is the property of the Most Holy Trinity.
“Works, missions, prayers, all that the laity offers to the Most Holy Trinity and to Our Queen and Mother, must be offered to the One who deserves all honor and glory forever and ever. What your offer to Our Queen and Mother is an act of love, of devotion, of veneration to the one who is the Queen of Heaven.
“The humbler you are, the more blessings you will receive, the more gists and virtues.
“This is the time for hearts of flesh, for the children of the Most Holy Trinity who keep them in the first place.
“In the firmament, the heavenly bodies, the elements, and everything created fulfill the function for which they were created. And the human race?
“Children of the Most Holy Trinity, in order to utter this Name you must remain conscious of Its great majesty.
“Faith, Hope, Charity” is heard on high!
“Prepare yourselves: What seemed far off is no longer far off. The Angel of Peace will (eventually) bring you peace- not that which man believes to be peace, but true pece, that which comes from Our King and Lord Jesus Christ.
“I bless you, children of the Most Holy Trinity. “
