Ang bag-ong gitudlo nga kalihim sa Dept. of Health, Dr. Ted Herbosa, nisaad nga mangita og paagi aron madasig ang mga nars nga magpabilin sa nasod imbes molarga alang sa mas taas og suweldo nga mga oportunidad sa abroad.
Sa usa ka interbyu sa telebisyon, gipatugbaw ni Herbosa ang panginahanglan alang sa mas maayong suweldo sa mga Filipino nurse aron sila madasig nga dili mobiya.
“We need to pay them correctly and our nurses are the best in the world. How do I know that?... They’re being asked by Presidents of other countries. They should be serving the Filipino people,” matod niya.
“The right for better life is embodied in our Constitution. If a nurse wants to go abroad to get a salary that I cannot give, I shouldn’t stop that person because what I should look at is why I’m not able to pay the same amount so that they can be here in their own country, in their own family, enjoy the beautiful islands of the Philippines. So I will search for the solution of what will make them stay,” dugang ni Herbosa.
Hangtod sa Disyembre 2022, base sa datos gikan sa Filipino Nurses United (FNU), ang average nga binuwan nga suweldo sa mga nurse sa pribadong ospital kay P12,000, samtang ang nagtrabaho sa mga government hospital mokita og average nga P35,097.
Ang grupo nagplano sa pagduso og P50,000 nga entry rate alang sa tanang nurses.
Matod pa ni Herbosa nga susihon usab sa DOH ang mga benepisyo sa mga nars.
Sa tinguha nga matubag ang kakuwang sa mga nars sa nasod, si Herbosa niingon nga iyang gikonsiderar ang posibilidad nga tugotan ang unlicensed nursing graduates, nga wala pa makapasar sa board exam, nga makatrabaho sa mga pampublikong tambalanan.
Matod niya nga adunay dul-an sa 4,500 ka bakanteng posisyon sa nursing sa gobyerno.
“We have several nurses that don’t pass the board examination and who don’t have a license. In government, you cannot work without a license, but I am willing to take them if they have a diploma,” matod ni Herbosa.
“I’ll make it eligible. If you have a diploma in an accredited school, recognized, I give you a period of time to pass it... You make them work for five years, I’m giving you five years to pass the board exam,” dugang niya.
Gipadayag usab ni Herbosa ang kaandam sa kagamhanan sa pagbubo og puhonan sa mga programa sa pagtudlo aron matabangan ang mga gradwado nga makapasar sa board exam sulod sa gitakda nga panahon, aron makadawat sila og full nga suweldo ug mga benepisyo nga maoy gidawat sa nars.
Matod niya nga iyang i-tap ang Professional Regulatory Commission bahin sa maong butang.
NALANGAN
Niadtong Miyerkules, Hunyo 7, si Herbosa niingon nga iyang unahon ang pagsulbad sa mga pagkalangan sa pagbayad sa special risk allowance sa mga healthcare worker nga ninghatag og serbisyo sa panahon sa Covid-19 pandemic.
Ang DOH niingon nga kaniadtong Pebrero, 805,000 ka mga healthcare worker gikan sa publiko ug pribado nga mga ospital wala pa makakuha sa ilang kompleto nga bayad alang sa mga serbisyo nga ilang gihatag panahon sa pandemya.
Matod pa niini nga ang P72 bilyunes nga gigahin sa National Government alang sa maong katuyoan dili pa igo aron mabayran ang balanse sa allowance sukad niadtong 2021.
