Tatay Rudy’s rout Dosmil, stays on top of UP alumni hoops

TATAY Rudy’s continue to reign supreme in the inaugural season of the University of the Philippines Cebu Alumni Basketball League after they routed Dosmil, 70-45, on June 4 at the House of Curry basketball court in Mandaue City.

Donald Guia scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds to help Tatay Rudy’s improve to 7-1, good for the best in the league with just two more games remaining in the double round-robin elimination round.

Dosmil dropped to 4-3.

In other matches, the UP Maro-ons escaped the Parking Lot Basketball, 46-38, to bolster their record to 3-5. Sam Saquin had 14 points to lead the Maro-ons to the victory.

And lastly, the Duggies blew away the Legends, 73-53, for their fifth win in eight games. Eric Perpetua had a brilliant showing with 17 points, four boards, three assists, two steals and a block. The Legends’ loss dropped them to an even 4-4. (JNP)
