UNIVERSITY of Cebu (UC) and its Singaporean partner, Kilsa Global, signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for an international nurse onboarding program on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at UC Main Campus.
The partnership aims to provide the nursing students and nursing graduates a scholarship and employment abroad, respectively.
UC President Atty. Augusto W. Go and Kilsa Global Manager Charles Lim led the signing of the MOA.
Incoming third year and fourth year students are qualified for the scholarship program, while fresh graduates and board passers of the Nursing Licensure Exam from 2022 onwards may qualify for employment in Singapore.
"This is a program that really own by Singaporean Government... this is direct contract with the Singaporean government for the nurses," said Lim.
Lim said they will accommodate as many students and nursing graduates as possible, as long as they are qualified for the program. (Lesly Sagayap, NWSSU intern)
