VMA amplifies academic research

VMA Global College and Training Centers' Research Development Office (RDO) significantly strengthened its research efforts during the recent Asian Society of Teachers for Research (ASTR) Interdisciplinary Research Conference.

RDO Director Elmer John Basa emphasized the importance of cultivating a research culture, enhancing capabilities, and promoting productivity among students, faculty, and school administrators at VMA.

As part of their academic function, the research efforts at VMA are being recalibrated, with a focus on faculty and staff involvement, spanning from writing research proposals and gathering data to disseminating the research findings.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Remedios Johanna Vargas expressed great satisfaction and delight regarding the exceptional research presentation delivered by the four presenters: Gilbert Juesna,Marie Aldrine Sanchez, Mayrold John Alonzagay, and Joannavic Rebusa.

The presented researches were on: Student Satisfaction with Maritime Laboratories; Scholastic Support for Student Organizations in a Maritime School; Problems Encountered and Corresponding Needs among College Students in a Maritime School; and Lifestyle Practices among Students of a Maritime School.

VMA President Elizabeth Salabas extended her sincere congratulations to the four presenters.

Rebusa was recognized as the Best Presenter in the oral research presentation.

Atty. Juan N. Orola Jr., VMA Chairman of the Board, commended the team for their outstanding achievements.

The chairman also thanked the academe led their continuous dedication and inspiration to the school's academic workforce. (PR)
