MASANTOL - “IT was not easy but we did our best.”
This was how Masantol Mayor Jose Antonio Bustos described his first year of public service as the town’s chief executive.
Currently the Philippines’ youngest mayor, Bustos celebrated his 23rd birthday on Tuesday by delivering his first State of the Municipality Address (SOMA) at the Masantol Civic Center.
Bustos bared his administration’s accomplishments particularly on education and construction of various infrastructure assets.
“Phase by phase, we are trying to accomplish our promises to Masantoleños. We will never get tired and we really are determined to finish what we have started,” the mayor said.
In his second year, Bustos said the “Bayung Masantol” will be more proactive in attending to the healthcare needs of its people.
