ONE of Cebu’s biggest culinary festivals concluded at Jpark Island Resorts, Mactan. Over the course of three days, guests were treated to a memorable culinary experience, with each dish crafted and curated by highly acclaimed master chefs.
The two-week Cebu Food and Wine Festival 2023, which took place from June 3 to June 17, 2023, showcased a remarkable display of culinary expertise. Esteemed master chefs from around the world gathered in Cebu to share their passion for the culinary arts and demonstrate their skills.
Jpark Island Resort Mactan served as the final venue for this year’s Cebu Food and Wine Festival, hosting three exceptional food events that left no shortage of extraordinary dishes capable of impressing even the most discerning critics.
These events took place at three of the resort’s dining establishments. Ching Hai Chinese Restaurant highlighted authentic Chinese cuisine, while the Waterpark’s Pirate Bar offered an enjoyable evening of beer and barbeque by the sea. Coral Seafood Restaurant enticed visitors with its wide selection of delectable seafood specialties.
Each dinner stood out by presenting a diverse range of dishes that were creatively reimagined as an homage to their respective cuisines, taking diners on an elevated flavor journey. The “Taste of China” dinner at Ching Hai evoked nostalgia for those familiar with Chinese cuisine, while introducing newcomers to the rich flavors of China. The standout dish, “Sibu Tang,” a Chinese medicinal herbal soup, provided a heartwarming wellness experience in a bowl.
Guests at the “Barbeque and Craft Beer by the Beach” enjoyed delightful conversations while relishing barbeque, pizza, sausage, and craft beer—the epitome of comfort food.
The grand finale, the “10 Hands Dinner,” took place at Jpark Resort’s Coral Seafood Restaurant. This extraordinary event featured an exquisite array of dishes complemented by a variety of perfectly paired wines.
