CLASSES of the much-awaited opening to the City College of Davao (CCD) of the city government will start on August 7, 2023.
In a Facebook post, CCD announced the schedules of the admission.
On-site application for new enrollees will be from July 3 to 14, 2023, while screening period will be from July 17 to 19. Releasing notice of admission will be from July 20 to 21, while enrollment period will be from July 26 to 28.
Requirements for admission include admission form, photocopy of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) birth certificate, photocopy of recent Senior High School Report Card (SF9) or appropriate Alternative Learning System (ALS) certificate (for ALS graduate only), and certificate of residency issued by the Office of the Barangay Chairman.
Other requirements include a certificate of good moral character, a photocopy of Income Tax Return (ITR) of both parents or a Certificate of Low Income issued by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (combined annual net income of both parents must be stated), and photocopy of Certificate of Belonging to Indigenous Peoples Group issued by the Indigenous People Member Representative (IPM) if applicable.

CCD courses offered include Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) (Major in Computer Programming, and Major in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology), Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd), and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep).
CCD is located at its temporary site in Km. 10 in Catalunan Pequeño.
The temporary site will include 14 classrooms and other facilities such as offices and laboratories.
According to CDD officer-in-charge Dr. Wenefredo Cagape, a budget of P9.8 million was allocated to fix the temporary site while 1,000 students are targeted for the first batch of enrollees. RGL
