APALIT - Precautionary measures were set to prevent electricity-related accidents during the fluvial parade of this town’s fiesta celebration.
Upon the request of Apalit Town Fiesta Committee 2023, the Pampanga III Electric Cooperative has scheduled power interruptions in the town on June 27 and July 1.
The brown out will be from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM on June 27 and again from 6:00 AM to 6:30 AM on July 1.
It will allow Pelco-3 to temporarily isolate a specific power line for the safe passage of participants during the fluvial procession set on June 28 and June 30.
The move is aimed to prevent accidents similar to the one which transpired on June 28, 2022 which took the life of two individuals and injured four more.
The victims were electrocuted after their boat hit the high tension wire while participating in the fluvial procession.
