THE stars of the hit primetime shows ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ and ‘Hearts on Ice’ were warmly welcomed by big crowds during the back-to-back celebrations of the 66th Silay Charter Day Anniversary and Toboso Fiesta 2023 in Negros Occidental.
As part of GMA Regional TV’s ongoing series of on-ground events across the Philippines, thousands of Kapuso fans were treated by Martin del Rosario, Radson Flores, Liezel Lopez, and Miguel Tanfelix to a fun-filled Kapuso Fiesta during the 66th Silay Charter Day Anniversary in Silay City Public Plaza Covered Court, Silay City, Negros Occidental last June 12.
The rain did not stop Miguel, Radson, and Martin as they joined the festive celebration of Toboso Fiesta 2023 in Toboso Municipal Grounds in Toboso, Negros Occidental the following day (June 13). More surprises were unveiled during the jam-packed Kapuso Fiesta with the lively and entertaining performances of ‘Hearts on Ice’ stars Ashley Ortega and Roxie Smith. Ashley and Roxie, who portrayed the characters of Ponggay and Monique in the recently concluded hit series, thanked their fans for making ‘Hearts on Ice’ successful.

The county’s biggest series this 2023, ‘Voltes V: Legacy,’ is the sole Filipino TV series that entered the list of top 10 most-followed new shows on Instagram last May based on World Information Tracking. It follows the story of three brothers — Steve (Miguel), Big Bert (Matt Lozano), and Little Jon (Raphael Landicho) and their friends Jamie (Ysabel Ortega) and Mark (Radson) — as they fight together the evil Boazanian forces who plan to invade the Earth and launch their beast fighters all over the world. More thrilling surprises await the viewers as Zardoz (Martin Del Rosario), the main antagonist, continues to plot attacks on Terra Erthu through its Boazanian army, continually endangering the lives of the Voltes V.
Meanwhile, a heart-stopping finale brought both tears and smiles to the viewers of the country’s first-ever figure skating drama ‘Hearts On Ice’. Despite the intense scenes and the twist and turns of events leading to the finale, a soul-stirring ending was witnessed as Ponggay (Ashley) finally made it to the World Figure Skating Championship. Ponggay and Enzo (Xian Lim) also made hearts flutter as they finally overcame the challenges of their relationship.
