WITH the incoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSK) elections, it need not be improper to write about candidates in the said election.
Barangay Tabun (Mabalacat City) chairman Danilo “Dan” Gueco de Leon assumed office last July 1, 2019 with the following Kagawad: Glen “Triple G” Granada Gueco, Ma. Bella Datu Manlapaz. Danilo Sanchez Agustin, Jonathan “Joan” Apresto, Elmer Timpug, Elizabeth “Beth” Manuel and late entry Erwin Macabanti. These will be the persons comprising Kap Dan’s team in October 2023.
With Dan in Action as his slogan, Kap Dan actively presides over matters affecting his barangay and its residents. He reports regularly at the office to oversee projects such as cleanliness drive, environmental activities and peace and order.
Barangay Tabun is a relatively peaceful place to live in with barangay tanods religiously making the rounds all over the place including Fiesta Communities subdivision.
With the slogan of Tune Lugud at Serbisyu, Kap Dan and his council are at the forefront of any civic duty and activity benefitting the residents of Barangay Tabun.
The Barangay Secretary is Job G. Galang and the Barangay Treasurer is Abel C. Manlapaz. Jojo was a former president of Fiesta Communities homeowners association.
He provided me the data appearing herein and he even took the effort to write about the future plans of Barangay Tabun, viz: create sustainable livelihood programs for the benefit of the barangay residents; to make the barangay a safe place to live in; to develop/implement more infrastructure projects and to eliminate crime incidents in the barangay with emphasis on stopping or curbing proliferation of illegal drugs.
Because of the elevation of Barangay Tabun, flooding and landslides are non-existent.
Nevertheless, Kap Dan G. de Leon, his council and all the barangay workers are ready to help other places in distress by providing initial relief packages, manpower and equipment to the affected areas in the country.
Kap Dan desires to continue his stint to serve and this time with more encouraging results for his barangay mates.
