KDFI, DA inks pact on high-value crops

BACOLOR - The Department of Agriculture Region III (DA-3) and Kapampangan Development Foundation, Inc. recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the agency’s High-Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP).

DA-3 Executive Director Crispulo G. Bautista, Jr. and KDFI President Benigno Ricafort led the MOU signing held in Barangay Maliwalu here.

It was also attended by DA-3 Technical Director for Operations and Extension, and AMAD Dr. Eduardo Lapuz, Jr.; High-Value Crops Development Program Focal Person AB David, outgoing Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division Chief Fernando Lorenzo, KDFI Executive Director Sylvia Ordoñez.

The MOU aims to work with the private stakeholder KDFI to increase and continue the production of quality and clean fruit trees that are included in the HVCDP.

It also targets to share with other farmers the knowledge and information that can increase their income, and intensify the started association.

The signing of the MOU by each party served as an agreement to jointly implement the programs that will support the farmers in consideration of the conditions contained therein.
