Aboitiz Group gives aid to San Carlos football programs

THE Aboitiz Group donated P100,000 to San Carlos City as financial aid to the various football programs in line with the 63rd Charter Anniversary celebration.

The company's representatives, led by Hedcor President and COO Rolando G. Pacquiao and its Vice President of Corporate External Relations Anthony Noel, discussed about it with City Mayor Renato Gustilo yesterday afternoon, June 29.

Noel said they chose San Carlos as a beneficiary because of its support and interest in different sports.

He added the company has been sponsoring sports activities in Cebu City and the Aboitiz Cup in Luzon. He looked forward to collaborating and creating feasible projects with Mayor Gustilo and 1st District Congressman Gerardo P. Valmayor Jr.

Moreover, Jose Miguel Valmayor, San Carlos Development Board (SCDB) representative, said that part of the assistance would be used in Charter Day Football Festival and Pintaflores Cup from July to October 2023 as stipulated in the agreement between the SCDB, local government of San Carlos City, and Fundacion Real Madrid thru the Fundacion Santiago.

The group also toured the City Hall Annex Building and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Command Center.

City Administrator Atty. Estefanio Libutan Jr., Executive Assistant IV to the City Mayor Airene Rose Gustilo, and 1st District Congressman Gerardo Valmayor Jr. were also present during the group's visit. (PR)
