A BODY solely created to provide mediation services for traffic complaints is to be created under the newly issued Implementing Rules and Regulations of the City Traffic Code.
The Public Utility Vehicle Adjudication Committee (Puvac) is to be created under the Rule No 2 Section 4 of the Executive Order 18 Series of 2015 or the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Comprehensive Transport and Traffic Code of Davao City or the Ordinance 0334-12, Series of 2012.
The body shall act on complaints, conduct hearings on matters referred to it by the concerned citizens, City Transport and Traffic Management Code and the City Transport and Traffic Management Board.
Puvac will provide advice, policy directions, review and approve plans and programs in the implementation and enforcement that may hereafter be drawn or prepared for the operations of public utility vehicles.
Puvac shall be composed of five members chaired by the city mayor and the remaining members shall be appointed by the city mayor from among the members of the CTTMB.
The secretariat of the CTTMB will be the CTTMO. The Executive Ordinance 18, Series of 2015 was issued by City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte last June 23, 2015. (KVC)
