CLAB hosts 4th regional convention

City of San Fernando—The Central Luzon Association of Business Permit and Licensing Officers, Inc. (CLAB) recently hosted its fourth regional convention aimed at enhancing the business and investment climate in the region.

The annual regional convention held on July 6-7 in Clark Freeport gathered local chief executives, Business Permit and Licensing Officers (BPLOs), and Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officers (LEDIPOs) across Central Luzon to encourage their active participation in national government programs related to business and investments.

Organized in 2014 and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2015, CLAB is one of the pioneers among regional BPLO organizations in the country with a vision of becoming a dynamic organization of empowered BPLOs championing business-friendly and competitive local government units (LGUs).

This year’s event carried the theme, “Revolutionizing Business Permit Processes thru Digitalization” and encouraged LGUs to maximize the use of technology in the issuance of business permits and adopt the zero-contact policy mandated by the Anti-Red Tape Authority.
