Gilusad sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) kaniadtong Martes, Hulyo 18, 2023, ang pilot sa Food Stamp Program (FSP), nga nagtumong sa paghupay sa kagutom sa nasod labi na sa kabos nga mga pamilya.
Si Presidente Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ug Bise Presidente Sara Duterte-Carpio nangulo sa pilot launch sa Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program, nga gipahigayon sa Don Bosco Youth Center sa Tondo, Manila.
Ilang gipang-apod-apod ang Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) sa unang 50 ka benepisyaryo sa programa nga gikonsiderar nga mga kabos sa pagkaon.
Ang load credits sa EBT nga nagkantidad og P3,000 matag buwan, gamiton sa mga benepisyaryo sa pagpalit og masustansya nga mga pagkaon gikan sa DSWD-accredited retail partners.
Matod pa ni Marcos nga ang programa kabahin sa inisyatiba sa administrasyon aron tapuson ang kagutom sa nasod sa tuig 2028 ug masiguro nga ang tanan makatagamtam og maayo, himsog ug abunda nga kinabuhi.
“We have always tried to rise up from the throes of poverty but the problem of hunger and malnutrition still remains. And that’s why it has become a priority of this government that we will fight all the poverty. We will put in all the programs so that one day we can say that we are able to give our people, at the very least, the food that they need to survive, the nutrition that they need to survive,” matod niya.
“That is the dream of this administration. That is what we are hoping to achieve in this administration, that by the end of 2028, we can say that we have done everything to reduce the hunger and poverty in our country, and to be able to be sure that we can provide a good, healthy, and productive life for our people,” siya nidugang.
Si Marcos misaad nga ipadayon ang pundo alang sa programa hangtod nga gikinahanglan.
Samtang gipasiugda ang kamahinungdanon sa hinay-hinay nga pagsulbad sa nagpahiping mga isyo aron makunhuran ang sobra nga pagsalig sa tabang sa gobyerno, ang Presidente usab miila nga adunay mga indibidwal ug sektor nga magkinahanglan og tabang. (TPM sa SunStar Philippines)
