MABALACAT CITY—The city government here is set to construct a new city hall worth P1.194 billion.
This, following a groundbreaking rites for the new government center as part of local government's 11th cityhood celebration on July 21.
The groundbreaking ceremonies were led by Mayor Crisostomo Garbo, House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda.
Also joining the ceremonies were Vice Governor Lilia Pineda, Pampanga Third District Representative Aurelio Gonzales, First District Representative Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, mayors, and other local officials.
The new government center will serve as a symbol of the city's progress and commitment to serve its constituents better, according to Garbo.
The five-storey government center sits on a 2.1 hectare lot with an 18,000 square meter floor area.
After the groundbreaking ceremonies, city officials distributed 17 transport service vehicles for the Sangguniang Bayans of the Pampanga.
