125 Step beneficiaries in MisOr receive livelihood starter toolkits

A TOTAL of 125 beneficiaries, who are scholars under the Special Training Employment Program (Step), each received livelihood starter toolkits for the Produce Organic Concoctions and Extracts training (Leading to Organic Agriculture Production) NC-II and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC-I.

The distribution of starter kits, which was spearheaded by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) Regional Training Center-Tagoloan and the 58th Infantry Battalion (58IB), was held at the covered courts of Jasaan, Balingasag and Medina towns in Misamis Oriental.

Of the 125 beneficiaries, 75 are from Barangays San Nicholas, I.S. Cruz, and Danao in Jasaan town; 25 are from Barangay Linabu in Balingasag town; and 25 are from Barangay Bangbang in Medina town.

According to the 58IB, the activity was part of the government's ongoing effort to empower individuals or communities, particularly the People's Organizations in Misamis Oriental, through providing the necessary tools to start or enhance their livelihood activities.
