DON Salvador Benedicto Mayor Marxlen De la Cruz said six employees of the municipal government who tested positive for illegal drug use were immediately dismissed from service.

De la Cruz said the six employees were in job order status.

He said that this kind of employee is a “bad influence on their co-workers."

We have forwarded their names to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), De la Cruz also said.

The municipal government conducted a surprise two-day drug testing of its 250 employees that started on Monday, July 24.

De la Cruz said his administration has a strong anti-drug program.

We still have one barangay that is still not yet drug-cleared and he wants DSB to be a "drug-cleared" town as part of its tourism program.*
