Ubay is a tranquil town located in the northeastern part of Bohol. Away from the capital of Tagbilaran and the busy tourist spots of Panglao and Carmen. Ubay is rich with natural resources, hospitable people, and a hub for research of agriculture and livestock.

At Ubay Stock Farm, one can tour and experience firsthand the processes in a farm. Guests can even try the manual milking of carabaos. Aside from carabaos, one can also see native pigs, chickens, cows and other farm animals.

Ubay Stock Farm is located in Lumangog and is part of the Philippine Carabao Center of the Department of Agriculture. The farm is particularly focused on breeding, doing research on native pigs and chickens, and supporting the local farmers.

After touring the 3,600-hectare farm, visitors can indulge themselves with fresh carabao milk at the Bohol Dairy Outlet. The retail store offers pasteurized fresh milk, chocolate- and mango-flavored carabao milk, carabao milk ice cream, pastillas, milk cake and many more. Aside from a great afternoon delight, its products also make for a great “pasalubong” for one’s loved ones.

Witness the Cambugsay model coffee farm and sip a cup of its native variety of robusta while taking in the view of the Malingin Dam and the rolling hills of eastern Bohol. Embrace the fresh air and quietness of the place—unload the stress of city life.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Tourists can visit the century-old Sto. Niño Parish church, try the local buko juice and bugnay wine, island hop to the nearby islands or visit the local beaches. The can check out the Alicia Panoramic Park in a neighboring town, Alicia, or take a dip at the tallest waterfall in Bohol, the Can-umantad Falls in Candijay. Both towns are only within a 30-minute drive from Ubay.
