Flood victims get P29-M food aid

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —Some P29,967,637 worth of food assistance has been extended to flooded communities and families in Pampanga. This as PAGASA disclosed that occasional rains will prevail in several parts of Luzon due to Habagat. Reports from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) show that the Provincial Government of Pampanga has led several food distributions in the towns of Sasmuan, Arayat, Minalin and San Luis among others. The town of Minalin alone received some P3,235,745 worth of food assistance which accounts for 5,820 food packs. Some P2,779,850 worth of assistance which accounts for 5,000 food packages were also distributed in Apalit town. Some 1,500 food packs worth P1,065,000 were also turned over to Masantol town by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
