NCFI cedes ‘Balay Negrense’ charge to Capitol

The Negros Cultural Foundation, Inc. (NCFI) officially turns over the responsibility of maintaining and preserving the Balay Negrense Museum to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

NCFI president Lyn Gamboa together with Tanya Lopez presented to Governor Bong Lacson and Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, yesterday, a roof garden baluster from Balay Negrense as a symbolic representation of passing on the care and sustainability of the first lifestyle museum and historical house in the province.

NCFI has been maintaining and preserving the Balay Negrense Museum in Silay City since 1990.

The provincial government will now manage the maintenance and renovation of the house, given the responsibility of preserving the shared heritage. (PR)
