AFTER conceding an early goal, Don Bosco Liloan bounced back to dominate Bohol’s Gaher FC, 4-1, and win the Girls Under-15 title of the Rhoro Futsal Invitational Games - Liga Skwela Visayas on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at the Virgen De Las Escuelas Pias in Talisay City.
Gaher FC got the early lead with a goal by Janah Marie Aguanta in just a minute of action.
However, DB Lilioan came alive a few minutes later following an equalizer by Ronieth Bucag in the fourth minute.
From then on it was all DB Liloan. Christine Mae Cariquitan joined in on the action and scored a goal for DB Liloan in the seventh minute.
Bucag scored a brace with a 10th minute goal, while Cherry Joy Cardona finished off Gaher FC with a goal in the 11th minute.
Gaher FC came into the championship match as the favorites after finishing Group B as the No. 1 seed with 10 points. DB Liloan finished Group B also with 10 points but were behind on goal difference. DB Liloan and Gaher FC settled to a 2-2 draw in their group stage match.
DB Liloan beat Real Carcaranon Club de Futbol, 2-0, to book a ticket to the finals.
Gaher FC, on the other hand, beat fellow visitor Negros Oriental, 2-0, in the other semifinals match.
The two-day football event was also joined by FC Argao, Barili FC, Compostela, Big City Calamansi Hilario P. Davide National High School (Argao), Talisay Razkals and Balamban.
