Halad kay Kang-Laon Festival winners awarded

The winners of the Best Agro Trade Fair Booth Competition and Photography Contest were awarded during the culmination of the Halad Kay Kang-Laon Festival yesterday, Aug. 11, at the People’s Park.

Canlaon City was champion in the Agro Trade Fair Booth Competition followed by Municipality of La Castellana as 1st runner-up, Bago City as 2nd runner-up, La Carlota City, 3rd and Municipality of Murcia, fourth.

Champion LGU received P7,500 with P5,000 for 1st runner up, P3,000 for 2nd and a consolation prize of P1,000 each for the third and fourth runners-up.

In the Photography Contest Portrait and Landscape Category, Prince Infante was the champion; Vincent Tupas, 1st runner-up and Jenny Magbanua, 2nd runner-up.

In the Flora and Fauna Category, EJ Dela Victoria, Infante, and Francis Kyle Oficiar were the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, respectively.

Winners received P5,000 for the 1st; P3,000, 2nd place; and P2,000, 3rd place. Photographers who failed to make it in the first three spots received P1,000 each as a consolation prize.

Meanwhile, the six participating LGUs received tokens of appreciation. (PR)
