Six culinary food park concessionaires compete for ’Culinaria’

Six food park concessionaires the Food Park, and Bacolod City Government Center grounds, competed in this year's Culinaria competition which formed part of the Tanduay Bacolod Rum Festival which will run until August 20, Sunday.

The culinary creations included the Karnegrito De Rumma, a fusion of rich rum notes and succulent meat; Nilasing na Manok, a dish that infused the flavours of rum into tender chicken; the Glazed Pork Chop, a delectable marriage of sweet and savoury; Beef Braised Pork, which showcased the depth of rum's influence; and the Grilled Burger Patty, a mouthwatering spin on a classic favourite.

The contestants presented a tantalizing array of ten rum-infused dishes that pushed the boundaries of creativity and flavour.

Chef Enzo Campos and Chef Benedict John Uy, both esteemed names in the culinary sector, served as judges in the competition.

The event showcased the culinary skills of local food park concessionaires who used Tanduay rum as a perfect mixture for their food entries.

The said contestants also presented Paklay, Backribs, and Squid Sizzling Sisig, which highlighted the versatility of rum as a mixed ingredient.

The culinary journey continued with the Rum-Infused Quesadilla, where the combination of flavours ignited the taste buds, and the Spicy Buttered Shrimp, which created a delightful explosion of heat and zest.

Winners will receive cash prizes such as P5,000 for the 2nd runner-up, P10,000 for the 1st runner-up and P20,000 for the Champion.

The Tanduay Rum Fest 2023 Culinary Competition has showcased the culinprowessowes of the city's talented concessionaires and their unique blend and food mixture innovation that defined the Bacolod's food scene.
