San Carlos IP group receives livelihood aid from DSWD

The Mauswag Cabagtasan Indigenous Peoples Association received a check worth P270,000 from the Department of Social Welfare and Development - Western Visayas to support their livelihood projects, recently.

San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo and Project Development Officer Raymund Gil Cervantes of DSWD-6 handed the check to Barbara Suelas, President of Mauswag Cabagtasan IP Association last Aug. 18.

Cervantes said that the check will be used for the livelihood project of IP members in Sitio Cabagtasan, Barangay Codcod.

On the other hand, Suelas said they will use the money for vegetable production and buy and sell of vegetable to supply Bacolod City.

City Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona, City Administrator Estefanio Libutan Jr, CSWDO Officer-in Charge Edena and other BFP officials also witnessed the said turnover. (PR)
