THE Pag-Ibig Fund urges food riders to consider becoming members to avail themselves of various benefits, including accessible and affordable housing and other necessary loans.

During the Pag-Ibig Fund Stakeholders' Accomplishment Report for H1 2023 Mindanao, held at Sotogrande Hotel on August 22, 2023, Alexander Hilario Aguilar, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Member Services Cluster, said that riders have the opportunity to apply for membership and enjoy the perks of easier and cost-effective housing loans, among other financial assistance.

Hilario emphasized that riders and other Pag-Ibig members can conveniently apply for membership online or through their mobile app.

The agency's Asenso Rider Promo, a collaboration with major transport network companies, has enabled food riders to access Pag-Ibig services.

"This initiative serves as an encouragement and an opportunity for our riders who become Pag-Ibig members to be granted equal access to social security and the like," Aguilar said.

He also said that the promo had successfully ignited hope and enthusiasm among rider participants.

Their findings showed that an average rider earns around P15,000 to P17,000 per month, with some earning up to P60,000.

Since the launch of their Pag-IBIG Asenso Rider campaign in May, Pag-Ibig reported that approximately 7,000 riders have registered with them.

Meanwhile, Pag-Ibig Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene Acosta revealed that there are currently 15.56 million Pag-Ibig members as of June 2023, with more than 400,000 members added within the first half of 2023.

Pag-Ibig has established agreements with prominent transport network companies, including Angkas, Food Panda, Grab, Lalamove, and Pick A Roo, all operating transportation networks and app-based courier services.

In a press release, Pag-Ibig said that through these partnerships, delivery riders gain improved access to Pag-Ibig Fund benefits, including the Regular and MP2 Savings programs, offering competitive returns, and affordable home loan programs, which enable them to achieve homeownership. ICE
