A FORMER drug surrenderer was shot and killed in Sitio Dawis, Barangay San Roque, Talisay City at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Police identified the victim as Fidel Casinillo Suan, 31, a native of Daanbantayan town but temporarily lived in Purok Malagaron, Barangay Tabunok in the said city.
The assailant, who was wearing blue sweat shirt and maong pants, fled towards barangay Inayawan in Cebu City, according to some witnesses.
According to the victim’s live-in partner, Catherine Racaza, Suan had already reformed himself.
In order to prove to the police that he had already quit using illegal drugs, he would travel to Daanbantayan every time they called him.
The Talisay City police are searching for any CCTV camera in the area where the incident took place to identify the gunman.(AYB, TPT)
