Ople to make final visit to Malacañang, DMW

MIGRANT Workers Secretary Susan Ople is set to make her final visits to Malacañang in Manila and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) head office in Mandaluyong City on Monday, August 28, 2023.

In an advisory, the DMW said there will be necrological services for Ople at 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the Kalayaan Hall in Malacañang.

"The President, together with the bereaved family, will receive the remains of the late Secretary Ople upon their arrival in the Kalayaan Hall," said DMW.

The closed private necrological service will begin shortly after, with remains of the first DMW secretary set to lie in state up to 3 p.m.

After the event in Malacañang, Ople will head to her turf at the DMW head office for the public viewing.

"Her remains shall be transferred to the DMW at the Blas F. Ople Bldg. in Ortigas Avenue corner Edsa, Mandaluyong City," said DMW.

The final services at the DMW for Ople shall commence at 5 p.m. onwards.

Last Tuesday, Ople passed away at the age of 61 years old. (SunStar Philippines)
