AN ESTIMATED P34,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a drug bust operation by operatives of Police Station 3 at Purok Bayabasan, Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Wednesday night, January 18.

The operation also led to the arrest of Ricky Britanico, 48, a tricycle driver, and resident of Purok Pine Tree, Barangay Bata, and the 17-year-old boy, whose name was withheld for being a minor.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) records showed the suspects were arrested after one of them sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur buyer.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession 15 sachets of suspected shabu, the P200 marked money, two belt bags, a weighing scale, P1,700 cash, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 3 and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
