Senior Citizen's Soiree!

It was a night of glamor, class, and sophistication as the members of the Senior Citizens held the very first "Senior Citizens Night" held last August 24,2023 at the basketball court of Bgy San Agustin, City of San Fernando.

Under the auspices of Hon. Emerito "Emer" A. Carreon, Committee Chair On Women and Family and the support of Kap June B. Arciga and council - the covered court transformed into a Grand Ballrooom filled with colorful decor.

The events main goal is to raise funds for Bgy. San Agustin Senior Citizen Association. Simultaneously, the unforgettable event was able to raise P100,000.00. The said amount will be utilized for future programs and services of the organization.

Some 450 members attended the grandeur of the nights event.

The said event kicked off with a Grand Cotillon. All particiants wore their best evening attire. Also, Senior Citizen Women's group from various sitios and villages contributed intermission numbers that added to the highlights of the momentous event.

Indeed, it was a night to remember. The hardship and sacrifices of our Lolo's and Lola's paid off as they enjoy the night away.

The Senior Citizens Assdociation is headed by its Preisdent Mr. Remigio G. Reyes, Vice-Pres Eliza V. Dayrit, Secretary Rita C. Tolentino, Treasurer Evelyn B. Velasco, Auditor Brenda O. Pelariza, PRO Gracita Soliongco. With Board of Directors: Jovencio del Rosario, Arnold Vitug, Charita S. Nera, Juan L. Pelariza, Adelaida B. Trinidad, Ismena I. Lacson. Coordinators were: Wilma Avila, Myrna B. Cruz, Elena Pingul, Leonardo Pingul, Orlando David, Emerito C. Mercado, Nick T. Henson, Cristina Salangsang, Brenda C. Crisostomo, Berlito F. Sison, Christina Illescas, Rafael B. Cunanan, Lourdes Z. Nunez, Benson Sy, Arcely Samson.

Mayor Vilma B. Caluag graced the occasion, who is a great supporter of our senior citizens.

The association would like to thank their donors and sponsors.

For the First Prize Mayor Jose Antonio Bustos donated P15,000, the second and third prize amounting to 10k and 5k was shelled out by Coun Aurelio Brenz Gonzalez, respectively. Also, Coun Gonzales donated 10 consolation prizes worth P1000 each.Ate Kay Pineda sponsored the P5,000 raffle of 500 for each winner. The choreographer/ host was sponsored by City of San Fernando Vice Mayor Benedict Jasper "BJ" Lagman, while the stage, lights, and sounds was donated by City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma B. Caluag.

Hon Emerito Carreon did the closing remarks for the nights event.
