A BARANGAY tanod yielded a gun when the police raided his house in Sitio Lawis, Barangay Pasil, Cebu City at 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
The suspect was identified as Pasil tanod Rolando Gallano alias Lando, 52, married.
The search warrant was issued by Judge Ricky Jones Macabaya of Regional Trial Court Branch 5 in Cebu City and implemented by the operatives of Sawang Calero Police Station.
A .38 paltik revolver with four live rounds was taken from Gallano.
In an interview with SunStar Cebu, Gallano denied owning the weapon.
He claimed he was shocked when police searched his home and discovered a handgun.
The suspect will be facing charges for illegal possession of firearm in connection with the Comelec gun ban. (GPL, TPT)
