CITY OF SAN FERNANDO —The Technical Education and Skills Development Committee headed by 2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab has urged Technical Vocational Institutions offering Culinary Arts to include Kapampangan Heirloom Cuisine in their curriculums.

The committee is urging schools to include Kapampangan culinary traditions in their Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Curriculum.

The official said this will help in promoting Kapampangan dishes and delicacies in support to Province of Pampanga as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines”

TESDA has been mandated to establish Technical Education and Skills Development Committees (TESDCs) at the regional and local levels to coordinate and monitor the delivery of all skills development activities by the private and public sectors.

The committee said that the Province of Pampanga is known for its exceptional culinary heritage and the expertise of its culinary artisans.

“Kapampangan Heirloom Cuisine holds a significant place in the culinary traditions of Pampanga and should be included in the modules of instruction for cookery and other culinary-related programs in Technical-Vocational Institutions to preserve and promote these cherished Kapampangan dishes,” the resolution said.
