THE local government of Porac has purchased new declogging and desilting vehicles using the P5 million incentive it received for winning this year’s Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Mayor Jaime “Jing” Capil, Vice Mayor Francis “Budoy” Tamayo, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan witnessed the blessing of the vehicles on Monday, September 4.

Father Jess Layug led the blessing ceremonies.

The purchased vehicles include one set of declogging and desilting equipment; two mini-dump trucks; two water vehicles; and one mini backhoe.

The LGU also purchased additional vehicles worth ?15.67 million including one minibus, one mini garbage truck, one dump truck, and one ambulance unit.

“Although we do not experience flooding in Porac, it’s important to regularly declog and desilt drainage systems in our municipality,” Capil said.

Also present during the event were representatives from the DILG, Hino Pampanga, and QSJ Motors.
