'Nego-skwela sa Baranga' launched in Apalit town

APALIT — The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Pampanga Multi-Sectoral Advisory Committee launched recently the "Nego-skwela sa Barangay" project in this town.

The municipality is the pilot beneficiary of the project wherein some 26 small and micro-enterprises (SMEs) were selected to participate.

The project targets to train SMEs located in the barangays on financial management to help them sustain and grow their small businesses.

Liga ng mga Barangay Renato Mutuc said he saw the opportunity that the project offers hence he requested to bring it to Apalit.

"Matututo tayo sa tamang pagnenegosyo mula sa mga successful na negosyante na nagsimula rin sa maliit", he added.

Ian Torno of Pampanga Chamber of Business, Inc. (PAMCHAM) led the discussion on applying finance in business.

Marylou Ramos-Tolentino of PAMCHAM also discussed the process on how to register the business with Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Department of Trade and Industry Pampanga offered discount to all SME attendees and assisted them on the registration of their businesses.

Participants also received sari-sari store starter packs from DTI.
