THE Villanueva Municipal Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Northern Mindanao arrested a high-value target in Villanueva, Misamis Oriental on August 29, 2023.
Arrested in a drug bust was Eurem Alejaga Halaran, alias Bongkoy, a resident of Zone 2, Poblacion in Tagoloan town, Misamis Oriental.
Seized from him were one Winston cigarette pack containing seven assorted sizes of heat-sealed elongated transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a digital weighing scale, Huawei cellphone, two disposable lighters, improvised pipe, and the P1,000 marked money.
Also arrested during the joint operation was John Paul Taban Abejo, a resident of Sitio Silao, Barangay Poblacion 1 in Villanueva town, Misamis Oriental.
Recovered from him was one plastic container with a green cap that contained eleven pieces of heat-sealed elongated transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
According to the Villanueva police, Halaran, who was the operation's main target, had a prior record with the same crime and had been captured several times.
Likewise, Abejo had been under surveillance for three months.
Police operatives added that the trusted aide of Abejo was apprehended before Abejo's arrest.
