A SENIOR citizen believed to be under the influence of alcohol reportedly drowned while swimming in the seas off Barangay Tacup, San Remigio town, northern Cebu around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
The victim was identified as Edilberto Sinadjan, a 68-year-old married resident of the area.
Sinadjan was rushed to a hospital in Bogo City, where he was pronounced dead.
According to a police inquiry, the victim was reportedly spotted by his neighbors strolling toward the water to swim there.
But they were shocked to see the victim already floating in the water about 8 a.m.
Police urged the victim's wife, Rosita, to have the deceased undergo an autopsy to determine whether foul play was involved in his passing.(GPL, TPT)
